NGUNGURU SCHOOL
Mandeno Design provided extensive master planning & key knowledge of the SPG (School Propoerty Guide) when designing Ngunguru School, which resulted in a new two story MLE (Modern Learning Environment), six classroom building. Mandeno Design gained valuable area on a small site by suggesting to undertake a large volume of earthworks with only one chance to get it right for the school.
Designing for a building sitting 50m from the sea, this building had to be durable and low maintenance for the school, precast panels were selected as the best permanent low maintenance solution for this. Stability of the ground & bank behind the building required further design development, working closely with the engineers saw this issue quickly resolved.

For this project, Mandeno Design was contracted during all stages, from architectural design to building consent & contract observation, coordinating all sub-consultants required for the building consent procurement.
Mandeno Design compete around 20 School jobs each year, designing to the MOE guidelines whether its new builds or special needs modifcations / upgrades.
